The Future of Wildlife Film in the YouTube Era

The wildlife film industry is changing. While we will always have the BBC’s blue-chip productions, lately reality TV shows like Whales Wars, Animal Rescue and sensationalized shows like River Monsters and (my favorite title) My Child is a Monkey have become increasing popular.
YouTube users are also dramatizing wildlife films by taking clips from the BBC and National Geographic, and spicing them up with voice-overs. Some of them are hilarious and do make wildlife a lot more fun (our favorite is below), but is this the new direction of wildlife films?
